Sycamore Creek Community Charter School is seeking a compassionate, joyful, and collaborative teacher for grades 1–5. We are looking for a California credentialed teacher who has Waldorf training — and also warmly encourage exceptional educators who are eager to embrace Waldorf pedagogy to apply. Our grades teachers embrace the Waldorf looping model and move to the next grade level with their students.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and nurture young minds in a supportive and creative environment
  • Maintain a calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
  • Create and uphold collaborative, fun outdoor activities
  • Supervise children during outdoor play; promote independent play, social-emotional development, peer relationships, and self-regulation skills
  • Support students' social-emotional well-being through physical activities and sports
  • Be part of a community that values collaboration, innovation, and lifelong learning
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to deepen understanding of Waldorf principles
  • Foster an inclusive environment that promotes diversity, equity, and belonging
  • Ensure student safety and follow all school policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • A valid California Teaching Credential
  • Experience in an educational or childcare setting; Waldorf training preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

Sycamore Creek Community Charter School is seeking compassionate, joyful, and collaborative Early Childhood teachers to join our vibrant faculty. We are looking for California credentialed teachers with Waldorf training — and also encourage exceptional educators eager to embrace Waldorf pedagogy. TK applicants must hold 24 ECE units. We embrace the Waldorf looping model, where teachers journey with their class across multiple years.
